ECDS1000 EXPLORATION: COMPUTING AND DATA SCIENCE PROGRAMS
An active exploratory seminar delving into the programs within the School of Computing and Data Science. Students interact with faculty and experience concept modules from each program, building fundamental knowledge and practical skills. Students then reflect on their experiences to guide the choice of future major and career. This course also discusses strategies for academic success. (1 credit) fall
ECDS1050 EXPLORATION:COMPUTING & DATA SCI CAREERS
A continuation of the exploratory seminar ECDS 0500 with a focus on future co-op and career opportunities. Students talk with alumni and industry partners about their career experiences and the relevant skills from their respective programs. This course also features discussion to support students’ decision-making about their major program and possible minors. (1 credit) spring
