Class Requirements: Math Placement
All incoming students will be placed into the appropriate Math course based on the Math Placement (MP) unless they are transferring in previously received math credits. The MP assesses knowledge of topics covered in algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus. This information is used in combination with a student's intended major to select first-year math class(es) at Wentworth.
MATH1525 or MATH1600/MATH1776 or MATH1776/MATH1777. Note that students placed into MATH1525 or MATH1600/MATH1776 may need to take coursework in the summer following their first year to maintain their expected graduation date.

Note that students placed into MATH1000 may need to take coursework in the summer following their first year to maintain their expected graduation date.

For the following major(s), depending on their Math Placement score, students are placed into MATH1000 or MATH1500 or MATH1600/MATH1776 or MATH1776/MATH1777.
